Makar is an aspiring Ukrainian programmer and physicist. He aims to improve the level of student education worldwide using affordable technologies. For his Rise project, he built a program that uses a smartphone camera to turn any writing surface into a graphics tablet. With this program, millions of teachers could provide their online lessons with high-quality explanations. Makar has won numerous STEM olympiads, including silver at International Physics Olympiad. He plans to expand his Rise project globally.
