Vedant is a linguistics and computer science enthusiast. His passion for protecting and preserving languages is rooted in a belief that languages represent valuable cultural knowledge and wisdom. He has received numerous accolades for his linguistic proficiency, including medals for India at various International Linguistics Olympiads. In 2022, Vedant developed a Machine Translation model at the Research Science Institute that made sophisticated computational tools accessible to non-programmers—a revolutionary effort aimed at democratizing technological use. For his Rise project, Vedant sought to revive the Sanskrit language by creating "LingoGuru," an interactive app that provides engaging, in-depth resources and a novel gamified pronunciation feature at no cost to its users. He intends to further his commitment to preserving cultures through language digitization as he pursues further education.
