Ulzhan is a developer from Kazakhstan who is passionate about harnessing the power of science for a positive change. For her Rise project, she created TuzyZhol, a social startup app to promote the hiring of recovering addicts and help them rehabilitate through employment. The project won first place at the Amanat Tech contest, achieved national coverage and was selected for the competitive Startup Garage incubation. Ulzhan aspires to pursue a degree in Health Sciences and Applied Behaviour Analysis to employ and scale TuzyZhol, and equip her with the expertise necessary to develop solutions that address societal challenges.
