Thivya Jeyapalan

Thivya is a Canadian musician and mental health advocate dedicated to fostering inclusivity. She founded “YouSpoken” to help families cultivate open dialogue, break intergenerational trauma, and ultimately destigmatize mental health. For her Rise project, she created a virtual platform to enhance music accessibility for the visually impaired and leverage music therapy to uplift individuals in impoverished communities. Thivya enjoys teaching piano to students with special needs, transcribing music into Braille, and was named the 2023 Ingenious Plus National Innovations Winner.
