Melissa Mariana Guedes de Souza

Melissa is a Brazilian mathematician with a deep love for numbers and space. Determined to develop technologies that address real-world problems, she created the "CaminhandoJuntas" podcast for her Rise project, which inspires young girls to pursue careers in STEM. Melissa has won gold medals in the Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad, Astronautics Olympiad, and for Brazilian Astronomy. In the future, she envisions herself as a software engineer using AI and cyber security to change the world.
