Rise Global Winner 2021

Passionate about education, Jorge likes observing the night sky and studying the universe. He is currently a student of Physics Engineering in the National University of Colombia, having been admitted there before the age of 17. In the future, he hopes to pursue his higher education and work in a lab like CERN or return home and be a teacher. He finds that while children in his hometown have much potential, their opportunities often remain limited. For his Rise project, Jorge worked on creating biofuels from recycled materials.
