Jeremy Muchilwa
Kenya
Jeremy is a science and technology enthusiast from Kenya who is passionate about environmental conservation. For his Rise project, Jeremy created WALTER, an AI-powered robot that identifies and collects non-biodegradable trash from polluted waterways. He co-founded Osiepe Sango, an NGO working to eradicate plastic pollution in Lake Victoria, the work for which earned him the Diana Award in 2022. In the future, Jeremy would like to continue studying and using physics, biology, material science and AI to solve environmental and other global challenges.
