Andrew spends his time expanding access to STEM education for students around the world. He created a student nonprofit called The Helyx Initiative that helps young people learn how to do research, and has been used by at least 9,000 people so far. The nonprofit has raised $11,000 over two years. For his Rise project, Andrew has worked on combating misinformation about COVID-19 by creating a free online course that teaches students to analyze COVID-19 infections with bioinformatics.
