Thoun is an aspiring architect and karateka from Myanmar on a mission to help her people. By designing affordable and sustainable housing, Thoun aims to increase the standard of living of the impoverished in her community and eventually, around the world. For her Rise project, Thoun designed affordable and sustainable housing for informal riverside settlers in Hlaing Thar Yar township, Yangon, Myanmar. In the future, Thoun hopes to come up with more sustainable housing solutions for people in poverty in Myanmar and around the world, all while actively living her karateka lifestyle.
