Rise Fellow 2024

Stefania is a dedicated Romanian activist passionate about mental health advocacy. Recognizing the need for increased access to mental health resources, Stefania organized workshops at her school to connect students with available support. Her efforts have led to a significant increase in individuals seeking free mental health services and have raised awareness throughout her community. For her Rise project, Stefania created two mental health workshops at her school in an effort to bridge the gap between available resources and those in need, which resulted in significant behavioral changes in her community as the Regional Branch of the College of Psychologists reported a shift of 47 insured clients seeking free mental health. As a passionate advocate for youth rights, she represented Romania within the UN's Human Rights Council at the 55th General Assembly, delivering a speech on children's rights mainstreaming and she continues to strive for a more equitable and inclusive society.
