Simone Anna-Mart Louw
South Africa
Simone loves teaching and helping other people understand complicated ideas. She created a YouTube channel where she teaches people 3D modeling and became a Math tutor at school to do just that. For her Rise project, Simone created a “shoe-generator,” a device that generates energy from walking and funnels it to a portable battery, aiding people from underprivileged communities in particular. In 2019, she received a gold medal at the ISF international Expo, and was awarded first place at the Eskom Expo in the Energy category.
