Rise Fellow 2022

Rudraksh is an avid researcher who is passionate about environmental issues. His skills lie in the fields of Machine Learning, Geospatial Applications, and Data Science.  For his RISE project, Rudraksh built an algorithm using Extremely Randomized Trees and Geospatial technology that increases the accuracy and precision of predicting mass-movement disasters in vulnerable regions of the Himalayas. He has presented his findings at international and national forums, and has won several awards, including the RICOH Sustainable Development award and the iGeomatics award. His work also includes internationally published research on loss of natural resources in vulnerable regions, and on improving food productivity. He is also building awareness as a climate ambassador.
