When Pedro was a child, his mother worked to develop solutions to problems facing people in isolated rural communities. He watched his mother help them with rain harvesting systems to assist with water supply scarcity, and with building vegetable gardens. Seeing this inspired him to work on making life better for people who are most vulnerable. Pedro believes in the power of Data Science, so for his Rise project he worked on providing personalized education for offline, isolated communities with the help of AI, programming and data science.
