Rise Fellow 2024

Oleksandr is a young Ukrainian innovator dedicated to child protection and creating safer schools. Compelled by tragic events of school shootings in the news, he developed a cutting-edge system for his Rise project that automates the receipt of information about missile attacks as well as the activation of a school siren. The system reduces the time from detecting a missile threat to sounding the alarm by several minutes, which helps save the lives of students. His passion for technology and civic engagement has led to numerous achievements, including recognition in winning the regional competition of scientific projects of the National Centre “Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.” Oleksandr is passionate about ecological and cycling tourism as well! One day, he aspires to use AI to develop a system for creating a safe educational environment at school in Ukraine.
