As a refugee following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Nataliia wanted to help others who had experienced being an outcast. That’s why, for her Rise project, she decided to help the deaf in Ukraine. She developed an app that uses artificial intelligence to interpret sign language and founded EASYSIGN, an organization dedicated to improving the wellbeing and standing of deaf people in society. Nataliia is a diligent dreamer who plans to continue using technology to help others.
