Rise Global Winner 2024

Mayenin, a Cameroonian tech enthusiast and women's rights advocate, is determined to help children access quality education regardless of their background. She founded Girls in Science and Technology (GIST) to tutor girls in STEM and her Rise project, “Lady’s Pride,” offers free menstrual health education resources. Awarded the 2024 AFS Global STEM Accelerators scholarship, Mayenin plans to pursue degrees in Material Sciences and Nanotechnology and further empower young women in her community.
