Rise Global Winner 2021

Mariana is passionate about social justice and hopes to work as a lawyer in the future. In 2021, she became part of the national committee of U-Report Mexico — a UNICEF initiative that encourages young people to engage with and speak out on issues that matter to them. Mariana worked on her Rise project, Ikigai Mangata, through the initiative. For her project, she educated adolescent women about female empowerment. Mariana also recently came in fourth in a competition hosted by the National Association of Mathematics Teachers of Tlaxcala.
