Elizabeth Miri is a journalist who is determined to make the world a better place. Elizabeth assembled a global network of student journalists from Nigeria, Mauritius, India, Pakistan, China, and Singapore to establish The "Monarch Ranger," a student-run newspaper. She was named a Borlaug Scholar by the World Food Prize Foundation for her innovative research on combating malnutrition in Kiribati and was recognized as the top graduate of a competitive international youth leadership program at the US Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy at Quantico. For her Rise project, she grew The Monarch Ranger's distribution in different countries and recruited more staff writers. Elizabeth is a brown belt in karate and enjoys gardening, dancing, baking, and testing recipes for America's Test Kitchen.
