Rise Fellow 2023

Elanu is an innovator on a mission to solve global challenges. She has developed biodegradable bioplastics to combat the effects of microplastics, improved solar panel efficiency using nanomaterials, and was recognized at Turkey’s top tech festival for her novel biosensor. An advocate for women in STEM, Elanu also led an all-girls robotics team to a top-10 finish in the World Robot Olympiads. For her Rise project, she developed a technology that captures and converts sunlight into electricity using a sustainable, less climate-dependent, and cost-effective solution. In the future, Elanu is determined to uncover new ways to engage Gen Z on emerging technologies.
