Devan, a two-time cancer survivor, believes children everywhere deserve access to life-saving medicine and psychosocial support. Born in Bogotá, Devan lives in Washington, DC, where he works with governments and nonprofits to help pediatric cancer patients in Ukraine’s warzones. A former Leukemia Lymphoma Society Boy of the Year, Devan is passionate about art’s healing power and is the chief archivist for the massive National Mall installation commemorating COVID-19 victims. His artwork mourning his grandmother, who died of COVID, won a Congressional art competition. A National Marshall-Brennan Moot Court champion and State Department Youth Ambassador, he’s seeking solutions to global problems.
