2024 fellow
Danna Paulina Fabila Olguin
Mexico
Danna is an aspiring neurosurgeon from Mexico. For her Rise project, she developed “Grow Through Veins,”\ which is a non-invasive bruise treatment to prevent deep vein thrombosis, a leading cause of preventable death in cancer patients. Danna’s research informed the synthesis of a topical treatment (done by an histopathology professional), which was provided to two patients. Danna aspires to study neurosurgery abroad at a prestigious university and create an integrative therapeutic organization focused on neurodiversity to bridge gaps in healthcare.
