Catherine is a Syrian-Armenian high school student living in Cairo with a passion for mental health advocacy. Inspired by her own experiences with migration and war, Catherine founded Mindful Minds as her Rise project, an initiative that promotes open dialogue about mental health among high school students in the Middle East. Through workshops and events, Catherine has successfully destigmatized mental health issues and created supportive communities for young people. As a dedicated advocate for her peers, Catherine continues to work towards a more inclusive and compassionate society. When she’s not working, speaking, or studying, Catherine enjoys playing basketball with the local Armenian Youth team and one day aspires to become a human rights lawyer
