Rise Global Winner 2023

Alperen, a determined educator and programmer from Turkey, has dedicated over 300 hours to volunteering in STEM education, mentoring underprivileged and visually impaired students across Anatolia. His experiences gave him first-hand insight into the challenges these students face and inspired him to start a company that uses cutting-edge technology and AI to create innovative solutions that are accessible and inclusive for all. His Rise project, an app that converts written text into sign language, seeks to address literacy among hearing impaired children. Alperen is the founder of the first First Robotics Competition at his school and an AP Scholar with Distinction.
