Rise Fellow 2022

Uche is an active environmental enthusiast. To mitigate the harm caused by ill-disposed waste in his community, he created a non-profit called PCS that fosters effective waste management by leveraging the combined effort of youth volunteers. For his Rise project, Uche initiated the first Zero Waste Day in his community, a program that challenged and encouraged everyone in his community to go an entire day without littering the environment. His proudest accomplishment is winning the award of excellence in his high school in recognition of his leadership contributions and academic performance. In the future, Uche aspires to study environmental engineering.
